The first and only time I’ve had Filipino food was at the home of my college buddy’s grandmother. I was 18 and not yet that interested in food, and so totally unequipped to appreciate Grandma’s Home-Cooked Awesomeness, which I regret now, of course. I would love to give it another shot (or five), especially because I understand Filipinos really support pork products, which is always a culinary platform I can get behind.
