Grill Em All / Nom Nom at The Verdugo Bar | 09.30.10

After waiting an hour in line, my friend and I decided to go balls out and get 3 burgers to split:

The Molly Hatchet – seared fennel smoked sausage gravy, apple wood smoked bacon, maple drizzle
The Dee Snider – Peanut Butter, Jelly, Bacon & sriracha
The Witte – cream cheese, deep fried bacon, beer sriracha onions, and malt vinegar aioli.

Holy mother god, the Molly Hatchet was delicious. It’s like eating a breakfast meal all in one. All the flavors were distinct, and it left a delicious mapley aftertaste that made me want to eat more. It was like a fancy mcgriddle.
LOVED IT.

They ran out of Behemoths about 10 people before us, but when I found out what the fuck it was, it didnt matter, there’s no way in hell I’m eating a hamburger that uses grilled cheese sandwiches as a bun.

The Dee Snyder was just… confusing. My friend and I alternated taking bites, hoping that it would make sense. The usage of jelly was interesting, but overall the sriracha was overpowering. I guess I was hoping for a dessert burger.

The Witte was meh… again, the sriracha overpowered all flavors. I barely tasted any cream cheese, let alone malt vinegar aioli. Which is a shame since I like all the flavors listed on the menu.

I didn’t get any Nom Nom, because I’m not impressed by vietnamese sandwiches. I guess I figure I could just go to Little Saigon and get a legit sandwich for $2 and not have to fall in line for 2 hours.
